Reflecting on a career spent bringing African talent to global stages, Obi discusses the influence of his early days running drum and bass nights, collaborating with grassroots promoters, through to launching pioneering events and festivals like Afro Nation and, more recently, Piano People.

He shares the initial struggles of getting African artists booked for major tour runs, his time at major agencies WME and UTA, and why communities need to hold onto ownership of their music.
